Details Itinerary For Wonderful Myanmar Tour (MVW : 11 / 06 )

Routing: Yangon – Bago – Kyaikhtiyo – Mandalay - Amarapura – Bagan – Mt. Popa – Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle – Heho – Yangon

Day 01. Yangon Arrival

Arrive Yangon Int'l Airport by Int'l flight. Meet and greet at the airport and welcomed by our experienced English Speaking guide and transfer to hotel. Check –in Hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 : Yangon- Bago – Kyaikhtiyo ( B)

Morning B'fast at hotel. Start drive to the Golden Rock (Kyaikhtiyo) by passing Bago (1 ˝ hours driving). On arrival in Bago, visit to local colorful morning market. Continue visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Heading to Kyaiktiyo the "Golden Rock" (3 ˝ hours driving). To reach the Pagoda from Kin Pun base camp, take a truck up a bumpy track about half way up the path which climbs steeply to the legendary "Golden Rock". Check in and overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : Kyaikhtiyo- Bago- Yangon (B)

Morning B'fast at hotel. After B'fast, return by truck to Kin Pun Base camp. Drive back to Yangon (approx: 5 hrs). On the way to Yangon by passing Bago and after lunch visit to Shwe Tha Lyaung Pagoda and visit Kyaikpun Pagoda with four 30 meter high Buddha figures seated back to back. Proceed to Yangon. Check in hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Yangon – Mandalay – Ava– Sagaing – Mandalay (B )

Morning breakfast at Hotel. Check –out hotel and transfer to Airport. Departure for Mandalay by schedule flight. ( 1 &1/2 hr flyin )Arrive at Mandalay International Airport. Proceed to Mandalay and on the way to Mandalay first excursion to Amarapura: Maha Gandayone Monastery –U Bein teak bridge. Visit traditional hand – weaving silk workshop teak posts. Visit to the former Royal Capital of Inwa (AVA) with local boat (10 minutes) and continue visit to the impressive wooden monastery of Maha Aungmye Bonzan, built of brick and stucco as well as the Bargayar Monastery. Visit to the Nanmyint Watch Tower. Afternoon excursion coach to Sagaing by passing Ava Bridge. Visit Silversmith & Kaunghmudaw Pagoda. Enjoy sunset over the panoramic view at the top of the Sagaing Hill. Drive to Mandalay. Check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay ( B )

Morning B'fast at Hotel. Heading to Amarapura , the ancient capital and first visit to 200 years old U bein teak bridge built in 1728 at the time, Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study. Continue visit traditional hand – woven silk workshop . Drive back to Mandalay and visit the famous Mahamuni Pagoda and stop to see stone carving and later to see gold leaf being beaten . Continue visit Kuthodaw Pagoda, the world’s largest book made of marble and visit the Shwe Kyaung Monastery excellent example of a traditional wooden building. Enjoy sunset at Mandalay Hill. Transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Mandalay – Bagan ( B )

Morning B’fast at hotel. Early morning transfer to the jetty join to the local boat depart for Bagan (Approx: 9 hrs cruising). Experience along River Irrawaddy to enjoy people ways of life by boat. Arrive Bagan before sunset sometimes its depending on weather permitting and Seasons. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Bagan ( B )

Morning B'fast at Hotel. First visit of morning Nyaung – U Market to see people ways of life. Continue the day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda, Annada Temple, Gubyaukgyi (Wet Kyi –in), Htilo Minlo Temple, Damayangyi Temple (the massive temple in Bagan). Drive back to hotel and leisure . Overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Bagan – Mt. Popa – Kalaw ( B )

Morning B’fast at hotel. Excursion trip to Mount Popa by car ( 1 hr drive ) , an extinct volcano with spectacular views. It's shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as " nats " and will have to climb 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. Proceed to Kalaw by car ( Approx: 8 hrs driving ).an interesting drive up into the hills and across the Shan Plateau , through fields of mountain rice. Arrive Kalaw , the former climate station of the British time . Transfer to the hotel and check in . Overnight at hotel.

Day 09 : Kalaw (Trekking) - Pindaya ( B , L)

Morning B’fast at hotel. Depart from Hotel by car. Drive about (10 mins) arrived to junction of trekking route. Leave from the car and ascend the small mountain. Some place may be down. On the way to see tea plantation, cheroot leaf etc .About (two and half hours) walk you can reach to Ywar Thit village. You can excursion in Ywar Thit village they are Danu races. After that proceed to Tar Yaw village has a long house of old style Palaung races. From Ywar Thit you may be climb down from Small Mountain. Within (15 mins) you may be reached to Tar Yaw. Tar Yaw village has a long house of old style Palaung races.The long house has six or eight Palaung families stay together. You can excursion in Taryaw some kind of Palaung business such as plantation the cheroot leaf, tea leaf garden and how to stay one house in difference families. In the house you can see the hand made weaving work. After that proceed to the view point for lunch. View point has a small shop of Nepalies nation. At view point place you can enjoy beautiful sceneries and panorama view. After lunch, some hours rest you can be come back to junction of same way. The car waiting at junction, that one day return trekking trip only walking hours will be (06:30 hrs); Transfer to the hotel and Check out .Drive to Pindaya and overnight at hotel .

Day 10: Pindaya – Inle (B)

B’Fast at Hotel. First visit Pindaya Cave (Famous for its countless Buddha Images) and picturesque Boutaloke Lake. Excursion to workshop of Shan paper and traditional umbrella works. Photo stop at wonderful Banyan Trees which are over 200 years old. Continue visit some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols.. After lunch , Starts drive down into the valley to Nyaungshwe on the edge of the Inle Lake : famous for its unique leg rower ; by A /C coach ( about 2 ˝ hours). Arrive Naungshwe and proceed to Inle lake by local boat and Check-in Hotel. Proceed to middle of Inle lake and sightseeing of Inle Lake including Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Villages, floating gardens & Ngaphechaung Monastery (Jumping cats).Transfer to the hotel and leisure . O vernight at hotel.

Day 11. Inle – Indein – Inle ( B )

Morning B'fast at Hotel . Eexcursion by boat to the Western Shore of Inle Lake to the beginning of a stair path leading to the hidden and unknown Inn Dein Pagoda complex. Return back to hotel . Free and leisure . Enjoy sunset at hotel . Overnight at hotel .

Day 12: Inle – Heho - Yangon ( B)

B'fast at hotel. Morning transfer to the Heho Airport for flying back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon & transfer to hotel. Visit Bogyoke Market for shopping, Sule Pagoda, (Centre of downtown), Nanthida Jetty to see river life on the Yangon river and evening along the China Town & fruit market. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Yangon Departure ( B )

B'fast at hotel. Free leisure until departure. Transfer to the airport for flight departure.

How To Get There

Yangon International Airport and Mandalay International Airport are the main gateways into Myanmar. There are regular flights to Yangon from Bangkok and Singapore. Also there are direct flights to Yangon from Abu Dhabi, Bandar Seri, Begawan, Bombay, Calcutta, Shiang Mai, Chaka, Hong Kong, Islamabad, Jakarta, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Kunminag, London, Osaka, Paris and Taipei. ( Link International Flight to Myanmar).Also Cruise Ships call at Yangon Port with Visa on arrival being gratned with prior arrangement.

Passport & Visa

A valid passport with Entry visa is required for all tourists & businessmen, applicable at Myanmar Embassies and Consulate General Offices abroad. Both Tourist Visa & Business Visa are valid for 28 days, extendible to 14 days for tourists & 3 months for business.
Visa on Arrival is granted on prior arrangement with the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism to chartered flights and cruises & to those package groups where Myanmar Foreign Missions are not stationed. Visa on arrival can also e arranged on special basis to package group tours applicable three days in advance to the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism. At present, Myanmar extends visa free facilities for ASEAN Government Officials holding diplomatic and official passports.
Overland entry is permitted to Thai tourists with border pass and for third party tourists with visa at Tachileik, Three Pagoda Pass, Myawaddy, Mongla and Kawthaung checkpoints along Myanmar-Thai Border; and similarly for Chinese tourists with border pass and for third party toursits with visa at Lwe-je, Nam Kham, Muse, Chin Shew Haw, Kyukoke, Kwanlong, Mong Lar along Myanmar-China Border.

Customs Formalities

Foreign currency exceeding the equivalent of US$ 2,000, jewelleries, cameras, video cameras, recording equipments and laptop computers must be declared at the airport. Failure to do so could end up in confiscation upon departure. Export of antiques and items of archaeological value are prohibited.

Health issues:

No immunizations are formally required, although malaria prophylaxis are often recommended by personal physicians. Occasionally, typhoid, hepatitis, tetanus and Japanese encephalitis vaccinations are also recommended. Drink only bottled or boiled water not any tap water. All hotels supply bottled water, as well as a good selection of Asia and Western foods. Use sunscreen liberally when exposed to the intense, tropical sun.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger's responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling inside of the Myanmar. Please contact your insurance carrier for details. We are strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour; including the loss of deposits through cancellation, lost of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined

What to wear:

Casual and light clothing is recommended for Myanmar all year round. A light sweater or jacket will be useful during the cool season and when travelling in northern areas. Shoes and other footwear must be removed when entering religious buildings and homes. Mini skirts, shorts and revealing clothes are prohibited when visiting temples and pagodas.

Things To Buy

Shopping in Myanmar is better than ever now. Bartering is also quite acceptable .In larger towns and cities the best bargains are usually found in the public markets .Each place has its own especially such as lacquer –ware in Bagan , textiles such as silk , cottons , etc in Mandalay & Inle Lake ( Shan Bags can be found as well ) , wood carving , tapestries , marionette in Mandalay are main souvenirs from Myanmar .The rubies and jades are also famous but be aware before purchasing , Simulated antiques, fine ceramics and copies of famous paintings are also possible to buy .Most of the Souvenirs shops in the main town accept U$$ OR Euro but they are not favored . The most convenient currency to pay in Kyats –local currency all over Myanmar .
