Trip to Gokhteik Viaduct

The unusual Gikhteik railway viaduct is 55 km out of Pyin Oo Lwin , en route to Lashio .When , on behalf of the British the Pennsylvania Steel Co built the Gokhteik Bride over the deep Gokhteik Gore over 100 years ago.. The highlight of the journey is the Gokhteik Viaduct which is a magnificent steel bridge spanning a 300 meter (990 ft ) deep river gorge which the train passes after Wetwun Rail Station .The approaching is stunning the giant steel girders stand out from the dense jungle like silver latticework , set against a craggy, ochre mountain face .The several viaduct was something of an engineering marvel when it was completed in 1903.

Program I : Day Trip (Pyin Oo Lwin – Naung Pain Village – Pyin Oo Lwin)

8:00 am Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Pyin Oo Lwin Train Station.
8:30 am Pyin Oo Lwin to Naung Pain Village Station (Via Gokhteik Viaduct ) by train
