APEX Airline Public Company Limited (APEX Airlines) was incorporated on 27th November 2012 for the purpose of providing International and Domestic Air Transport Services and was awarded a provisional Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) to commenceits startup process. APEX Airlines will be operational and ready to serve passengers in March 2015.
FMI Air commenced business in September 2012 as a charter operation under the banner of FMI Air Charter. We operated about 19 flights a week chartering turboprop aircraft from other local carriers to provide a service between the commercial hub, Yangon and the capital city Nay Pyi Taw. After successfully building this market, late in 2013 FMI Air Charter decided to apply for an AOC to begin operating its own aircraft.

Air Mandalay Limited is a private joint venture company that was incorporated on 6th October 1994 to operate as Myanmar’s first privately owned airline and support the country’s tourism industry.
The airline, based in Yangon, has since established itself as a carrier of high standards with a wide domestic network and one regional link, to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. It operates to all of Myanmar’s main tourist destinations and commercial hubs.
Mann Yadanarpon Airlines (MYP) was incorporated as a private limited liability company on July 23, 2013, and granted a permit by the Myanmar Investment Commission under the Myanmar Citizens Investment Law to operate air transportation services on both domestic and international routes.
Yangon Airways was established in October 1996 as a domestic joint venture airline between Myanmar Airways and Krong-Sombat Co. of Thailand. In October 1997, MHE – Mayflower Co. acquired Krong – Sombat’s shares in Yangon Airways and since then, the airline has evolved into a principal domestic airline operating schedule and charter services from Yangon to 13 prime commercial and tourist destinations in Myanmar.
